Principal Product Manager, AI Video-Based Safety Platform

Define opportunity to serve as Product Visionary for next generation Video-Based Safety platform at cutting edge of Applied AI and Computer Vision. Own 3-5 year platform vision and architecture leveraging trillion-scale data footprint. Operate at highest levels of ambiguity defining intersection of Computer Vision, edge computing, backend data science, and user workflow. Drive measurable impact on saving lives and multi-hundred-million dollar growth trajectories.

• 10+ years progressive product management experience with demonstrated track record defining and shipping multi-product, multi-year platform strategies that resulted in organizational or industry-level transformation • Ship features heavily relying on Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or large-scale IoT data processing • Hold undergraduate or graduate degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field • Demonstrate strong technical acumen enabling leadership of strategic trade-off discussions regarding model architecture, training, and deployment at massive scale • Operate in extreme ambiguity using data, first-principles thinking, and exceptional judgment to make high-stakes investment choices • Possess exceptional executive-level communication and presence, comfortable presenting and defending strategy to CEO, CPO, and external audiences

• Demonstrate deep understanding of data quality, labeling pipelines, and MLOps best practices in production environment • Hold experience in Principal PM, Group PM, or Director of Product role at high-growth, high-talent-bar technology company • Define product strategy for SaaS product built on hardware/software integrated system

• Pioneer and own 3-5 year strategic vision and roadmap for Video-Based Safety platform positioning it as multi-hundred-million dollar platform driving category creation and market leadership • Set technical direction for next generation AI/ML systems driving complex product-engineering efforts in foundation models, real-time edge processing, and large-scale data annotation pipelines • Influence executive leadership and cross-functional teams on critical resource allocation, long-term investments, and strategic partnerships required to deliver vision • Mentor and coach other product managers and technical leaders across Safety organization raising bar for product strategy and execution • Define highest-impact product opportunities by synthesizing macro market trends, competitive shifts, and deep customer needs into clear, bold product specifications • Champion, role model, and embed Samsaras cultural principles as company scales globally
