Principal Product Designer

Lead the design of holistic end-to-end screening experiences for Wise's Trust team, optimizing transaction safety and compliance while reducing customer friction. Partner with product and operational teams to create seamless experiences that keep customer money safe and empower internal teams to take action when needed.

• Portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work solving real problems for real people • Operate as full partner with cross-functional teams (product, data analysts, research, content) and lead on design vision • Diagram complex processes to make invisible systems visible and tangible, leading conversations about tradeoffs • Drive design of complex, user-centred services across teams and departments, setting vision and ensuring iterative success • Champion and facilitate collaboration across diverse multidisciplinary teams, fostering co-design culture • Advocate for design within the organization, communicating value to senior leaders and influencing strategic direction • Default to prototyping when presenting work • Understand good design as journey to identify right thing to build using early concepts and prototypes • Work with design systems to produce beautiful, functional design that scales • Practice evidence-based design and rationalize decisions clearly and credibly

• Background in compliance, security, or fraud prevention design • Experience designing for both customer-facing and internal/operational tools • Knowledge of financial crime prevention systems and processes • Experience working in highly regulated industries

• Build understanding of Wise customers and their goals • Collaborate with teams across full breadth of business to uncover opportunities to help them help customers • Use full range of Product Design and Service Design skills to discover, design, and deliver simple processes and mobile/web experiences • Increase customer-centricity, creativity, and design quality within your team • Meet agents, build empathy, and understand challenges they face using internal products • Partner with product and operational teams to clarify and simplify operational processes • Help customers understand when something has gone wrong and enable them to resolve issues • Partner across Trust pillar with designers and domain experts to align on patterns and unify experiences • Define what "good" looks like for your team and help them deliver it
