- How can I calculate my module grade?
- First, multiply each mark by its weighting to generate a weighted score. Then, add all weighted scores to determine your overall result. For example, if you scored 75% on coursework (70% weighting) and 63% on an exam (30% weighting), your overall result is (75 × 70) ÷ 100 + (63 × 30) ÷ 100 = 52.50 + 18.90 = 71.40%.
- Can I use the calculator for modules I have not yet completed?
- Yes, just enter the marks and weightings for assessments you have completed so far. The calculator will then show your current average based on completed work. You can also input different predicted marks for the remaining assessments to see what score you need to achieve your goal.
- What are UK degree classifications?
- The standard UK degree classifications are First Class (70% or higher), Upper Second Class (2:1) (60-69%), Lower Second Class (2:2) (50-59%), Third Class (40-49%), and Fail (below 40%). Some universities may have additional policies or slightly different grade boundaries. Please ensure that you always check your university's assessment regulations for accurate information.
