Information Security Manager

Beacon is looking for an Information Security Manager to maintain their best-in-class security position. You will work with the CTO to manage the security of both the product and the organization, ensuring data safety for hundreds of charity customers.

• Possess at least 2 years of experience contributing to security management at a technology company. • Demonstrate previous technical experience in software engineering or hold a technical university education. • Show experience in implementing or maintaining the ISO 27001 standard. • Understand GDPR and how it applies to organizations primarily operating as data processors.

• Demonstrate familiarity with the Vanta security and compliance platform. • Exhibit a strong understanding of the non-profit or charity sector. • Show the ability to remain calm and effective during potential security incidents. • Prove willingness to work from the London office with flexibility for home working.

• Collaborate with the CTO to maintain the security position of both the Beacon product and the organization. • Manage the internal security and compliance platform using Vanta. • Ensure the fleet of company devices remains updated and running securely. • Evaluate the security position of cloud services, applications, utilities, and vendors. • Maintain the Record of Processing Activities to ensure compliance with data protection legislation. • Refine controls and policies required for ISO 27001 certification and ongoing compliance. • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure cloud infrastructure is built with security in mind. • Develop and deliver regular security training to the whole team. • Assist Customer Support and Sales teams in answering customer questions about security practices. • Contribute to the product strategy from a security perspective.
