Senior Analytics Engineer

• Join a distributed team across Europe and Asia delivering insights and analytics. • Uncover new strategic opportunities and drive faster user-centric decisions. • Lead the analytics engineering practice working alongside Data Scientists and Data Engineers. • Focus on clean, intuitive data modeling and self-serve BI enablement. • Help make Goodnotes's products smarter through data.

• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, or equivalent experience in data engineering/analytics roles. • Strong command of SQL and Python, comfortable working with complex transformations across large datasets. • Experience building and operating ELT/ETL pipelines using modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake/BigQuery/etc.). • Solid understanding of data modeling principles and when to apply different approaches (dimensional, wide tables, semantic layers). • Deep appreciation for data quality with hands-on experience implementing tests, observability, and incident response processes. • Familiarity with analytics and BI tools and how to structure data for self-serve use. • Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Experience with dbt and Hex specifically. • Background in product analytics and user behavior tracking. • Experience translating ambiguous business questions into analytical frameworks. • Knowledge of AI/ML data requirements and modeling. • Experience empowering non-technical stakeholders with self-serve data tools. • Background working in distributed teams across multiple time zones.

• Turn messy, scattered data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets that unlock product insights and decision-making. • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data science to define what should be tracked, collected, and modeled. • Build data models that make it easy for humans and AI to explore data independently. • Ensure the data ecosystem is trustworthy by implementing thoughtful testing, monitoring, and alerting. • Shape technical foundations by contributing to architectural decisions, tooling improvements, and best practices. • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical frameworks, KPIs, and reporting structures. • Empower non-technical stakeholders to self-serve their data needs through well-designed model structure and semantic layer.
