Public Policy Manager

• Bring 3-5 years of experience working in policy within a policy team, public affairs team, regulator, think tank, or similar organization. • Demonstrate passion for Monzo's mission to make money work for everyone and drive positive customer impact. • Show self-starter mentality with comfort operating at high execution speed. • Take initiative and drive projects forward at pace without requiring direction. • Possess strong analytical skills to monitor and analyze complex policy issues affecting Monzo. • Communicate effectively through policy analysis, research, and briefings for diverse stakeholders. • Display ability to advocate for regulatory or legislative changes to various audiences. • Work collaboratively across teams to identify policy objectives aligned with company mission.

• Bring experience in financial services policy or tech policy. • Show track record of managing stakeholder relationships across government, regulators, and trade bodies. • Demonstrate experience leading policy development in financial inclusion or regulation. • Possess skills in using user research and data to create evidence-based policy recommendations. • Have experience writing formal consultation responses and policy submissions. • Show ability to build expertise and thought leadership on policy and social impact issues. • Bring experience partnering with NGOs, consumer groups, and organizations with shared missions.

• Identify, monitor, and analyze key policy issues affecting Monzo and work with internal stakeholders to define policy objectives. • Prepare policy analysis, research, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders. • Support writing formal responses to relevant consultations and policy requests. • Develop key relationships with policymakers, industry groups, consumer groups, and NGOs. • Build expertise and advocacy positions on policy and social impact issues aligned with Monzo's mission. • Partner with organizations sharing Monzo's aims by pooling expertise, resources, and voice. • Lead policy development in areas like financial inclusion and regulation where appropriate. • Keep up to date with latest political and regulatory developments affecting tech and financial services. • Delve into complex policy problems to highlight key issues for Monzo and customers. • Manage stakeholder relationships across government, regulators, trade bodies, and third sector. • Identify opportunities to broaden internal and industry stakeholder networks. • Engage enthusiastically with team, Collective, and discipline-level initiatives.
