Manager, Software Engineering - Developer Tools

• Lead teams working across Dev Mode, MCP, Code Connect, and more. • Help define the future of Figma's developer offering. • Incubate and lead new product development in developer tools. • Work on one of Figma's most exciting areas incorporating design thinking, AI developments, and open source tooling. • Build solutions targeting frontend and full stack developers. • Help teams bring products from idea to production faster than ever.

• 2+ years of experience managing software engineers working on products used by external users. • Proven track record of building best-in-class products in user experience as both manager and individual contributor. • Relentless focus on business impact through product and engineering excellence. • Demonstrated leadership skills in building high-performing and highly engaged engineering teams. • Experience mentoring and growing senior engineers.

• Experience building large scale systems using React, C++, and/or Ruby. • Experience building and maintaining open source software and/or libraries for developers.

• Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building and expanding Figma's developer offerings. • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions. • Define strategy and roadmap for your team and execute with high autonomy, velocity, and craftsmanship. • Provide hands-on technical leadership to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions. • Recruit, mentor, and retain high performing engineers and help with other cross-functional roles. • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and taking calculated risks. • Help build and drive diversity and inclusion initiatives through hiring, community events, and other programs.
