Strategic Community Specialist

• Join the International Community team and help grow Reddit outside of the US. • Be at the forefront of jumpstarting and fostering local communities in the UK market. • Build bridges with local volunteer moderators. • Innovate, iterate, refine, and scale the international consumer playbook. • Develop and prove out a community relations and growth playbook in close tandem with Product. • Help unlock the next hundreds of millions of global users.

• 5+ years of community development, project management, growth, operations, or product consulting experience. • Track record of community-led projects that have driven business impact. • Deep knowledge and understanding of British culture including current events, politics, customs, traditions, language, topics of interest, and taboos. • Nuanced comprehension of the digital landscape and cultural intricacies including UK-specific internet culture. • Succinct and persuasive communicator across internal teams, users, moderators, partners, and influencers. • Outstanding execution and high attention to detail. • Proficiency in English and based in the EU timezone.

• Experience working with volunteer communities or moderator programs. • Background in scaling international consumer products. • Experience with community analytics, dashboards, and KPI setting. • Familiarity with Reddit's platform and community dynamics. • Experience mediating conflicts and driving community solutions.

• Gain deep understanding of the UK market to identify user and moderator pain points, competitors, and opportunities. • Cultivate, recruit, educate, and grow a local community of moderators. • Implement a conversion funnel to onboard external creators and local users into active moderators. • Be a public face with local volunteer moderators to build trust and drive engagement. • Mediate conflicts and help drive solutions in local communities. • Iterate, innovate, and scale the consumer growth playbook by recognizing new opportunities and suggesting bold ideas. • Communicate quantitative and qualitative insights to optimize the international consumer growth playbook. • Run reports, build dashboards, analyze data, set KPIs, and execute impactful community initiatives. • Work cross-functionally with Product, Community, Engineering, Marketing, Safety, and BD teams.
